how to mount ISO in vCenter for VM

Step 1: Log into VMware vSphere Client

First, you need to log into the VMware vSphere Client with administrator privileges. This is the interface where you can manage all aspects of your virtual infrastructure

Step 2: Edit VM Settings

Locate the VM to which you want to mount the ISO in the left navigation pane. Right-click on the VM and select "Edit Settings" from the context menu

Step 3: Select ISO File

In the "Virtual Machine Properties" window, click on the CD/DVD Drive 1. Here, you will select the ISO file you wish to mount. You can choose an ISO file from a data store that is accessible to the VM

Step 4: Configure Device Type and Power On the VM

In the Device Type section, select "Datastore ISO File" if it's not already selected, and then click "OK" to save the changes. Before you can mount the ISO, ensure that the VM is powered on. You can right-click the VM and select "Power > Power On" to start it

Step 5: Connect to ISO Image

After the VM has started, click on the CD-ROM icon in the top menu. Then, select "CD/DVD Drive 1 > Connect to ISO image on the local disk." This action will connect the ISO image to the VM's CD/DVD drive
